Technical Questions and Support / Re: IP address error
« on: October 10, 2011, 04:17:37 PM »
When showing my location in the past, it was always right. Dunno what happened since. Maybe the site can check the location from the profiles first and the IP second.

Finally I see myself again in 'Live', yeah. But now 'Live' says my location is Zoetermeer. Well, i didn't move, so it still should be Amsterdam. Can someone take a look at it ?!

Technical Questions and Support / Re: moonzoo live script error ?

What I meant with my last comment was that on saturday & sunday moonzoo live didn't automatically updated the screen at all. Now it seems to be working again, but what has changed ? My browser(s), flash player & add-ons are still the same as a few days ago (and I did clear the cache btw).

Currently moonzoo live stopped working completely. Only 1 user is shown on the left and 3 on the moon surface. Another script error ?

Have you tried the usual clearing the cache x303?
Yes, doesn't work. Tried on 2 browsers (opera & FF). Still *only* 8 ppl rotating. Count them yourself and you'll see what i mean.

Nah, still doesn't work correctly. Just done some mz-ing, but the highest count on live i've counted is 8 ppl (should be a bit more than that). In '10 I just had to wait for 5-10 mins. to be shown. Now I wait 4-ever.

Technical Questions and Support / moonzoo live script error ?
« on: January 07, 2011, 02:39:27 PM »
Can anyone check if the script of live isn't broken (YK11 bug ?). Looks like there are only 6 or 7 ppl rotating. And no matter how long i'm doing mz, i'm not one of them. Can't believe so few ppl are online.

Thanks. They were talking about mounds or lunar domes.
Moonzoo doesn't include a tool to record these correctly, btw ?! Just the normal box set as 'other'.

@geoff
I must have been on the sky at night, too difficult for stargazing live  ;)

General Questions / unknown object

Saw something a few days ago, think it was on 'the sky at night'. They were talking about a small hill or something with a hole on top of it (most of the time). I forgot what's it's called, so does anyone know ?

I've been to Stoke and Stafford without leaving the house! :)
Hehe, must be some kind of wormhole  ;)

edit: Live also seems to work with boulder wars only ,no crater survey done, yet.

Looks like all the locations on the map are slightly above the real locations. Maybe google want some more money to correct it  ;D

Thx Arfon.
Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh, now i see myself   ;D
One small thing. Looks like lowercase names are converted to uppercase.

edit: Hm, I still think the script is broken. After looking at 'live', I now can see myself showing up, while not classifying anymore ie. not being on www.moonzoo.org anymore for 10 - 15 mins [scratch head.....].

OK the word from the team is that "live" means that every 5 minutes Moon Zoo live grabs the last 100 classifications.
I think it's a little different than what you say. Looks like the computer grabs 100 addresses and keeps following it until they log out. How else can it be, that the same ppl show up all the time when you look at 'live' ?! Very annoying  :-*
Just try it. Look at the screen and remember just a few ppl. Close 'live' and come back later (5 - 10 mins). Now you see the same ones re-appear again (with new classifications) on your *clear* map.

Maybe you check out how many users are there at one point. In my calculations it takes an hour per 900 users to show up your location.

Looks to me all images from the south pole are corrupt.
