SIZE OF MINIMUM CRATER MARKER
« on: November 10, 2012, 02:39:38 pm »
What is the minimum marker size, is it the same for all images or does it change in relation to the images zoom level. It looks like it might start at 10m. I don't recall reading anything in the tutorial or anywhere. Also why was it determine that this size was the best to start out with and not any other smaller size.

There are three levels of zoom in the images though we are not told at which level each image is presented at. However, the minimum crater sizes that can be drawn at each zoom level are:

High  - 10m
Med -  40m
Low  - 84m

I think 10m was chosen as the minimum size as this is the smallest useful measurement for the MZ science.
