INA Images
« on: May 19, 2010, 02:46:22 PM »
Ina is quite an unusual and interesting volcanic feature and there seems to be quite a few images of different parts of it in Moon Zoo. This is a thread to keep all those images together so if you think you have found a bit of Ina please check to see if it has been posted before and if not post it here.

Please post the image, image link (with ref number) and co-ordinates.
The co-ordinates will be around Longitude 5 / Latitude 18.

I have copied across all the confirmed images I can find in other threads - if I have overlooked any please post them over here!

This is what the Moon Zoo image looks like:

Latitude: 18.6553

I found these marvelous flat critters:

http://moonzoo.s3.amazonaws.com/v10/slices/000332765.jpg
Longitude: 5.27681
Latitude: 18.6301

I can't imagine what could cause them. Does anyone know?

(EDIT: Thanks to the human brain's propensity to see patterns they both look remarkably like people. I thought the top one was a chef at first but now I think it looks like a pregnant alien, and the lower one looks like a toddler alien or dinosaur :).)

Oh let me just a moment stay
where time is not and angels play the paeans of the galaxies;
then speed the stardust on its flight
to change dread darkness into light, cold chaos into ecstasy!
