Night Skies Network
« on: October 18, 2013, 04:20:03 pm »
Hello everyone,

Many of you may have already heard about this site, but for those of you who do not it is a free membership of unique amateur observatories- real time video cams from all over the world. Often you will find great live Moon cam videos.

http://www.nightskiesnetwork.com/

Here are a couple of screen snips I made a couple of nights ago from the Tacomasky broadcast. The guy only lives about 15 miles south from where I live in Bellevue, Washington. The size shown lower left on pic is the telescope size used in the video cam.  He has three telescopes in sync. Each broadcaster, when live, offers chat so you can ask questions and share info while watching the live broadcast of what is being viewed.

Thanks Jules and Geoff. Here is another recent flare from the broadcast of Tom (SolN)

Maybe Jules should post a link to their site on the Solar Storm Watch site  ;D   Lots of fun to see the live activity, but you will have to be up late in your neck of the woods.
