That's an interesting question Ian. What you have highlighted in a crater on the Sculptured Hills region of the Taurus-Littrow Valley. So the crater is on the side of a hill and as the solar incidence angle is 63.73 the Sun is quite low and shining on the hills making them appear bright. So it's not possible to tell whether this is a fresh crater or not! Spotting a fresh white crater is impossible on such a reflective background. I'll have a look to see if there is a NAC with a lower incidence angle (higher sun.)

Tricky one. I can't find a suitable NAC. Two features of a fresh crater are the bright rays spreading out from the crater (visible best in high Sun on a dark background) and a sharp (ie non-eroded) rim. It looks pretty sharp to me but I can't make out any rays. This is another view - about a third of the way down close to the left edge. M101956806LC.
