Wow, there are some beautiful and interesting images being posted here!

It's been difficult to get the images at the poles to look right.  Because the lighting angle is always so low they have huge shadows.  We try to remove image cut outs that are mostly shadow, but some completely blank images seem to have got through.  Just submit the image without marking anything for now.  We may add a 'bad image' button in future, or improve the removal of bad images to minimise their appearance.

It's quite useful if you can add the link or reference number to your pictures. You can also search using the link or number to see if your image has been posted before. Posting the details also makes it easier for the team to identify the image if it's one they want to follow up. For your image it's

As for what it is....well I see a very faint eroded ring around it containing some newer impacts so I'm thinking it is the rocky bottom of an old crater.
But I could be wrong! :)

I agree with Jules, the bottom of an older crater strewn with rocks. It's an interesting image and I haven't seen many quite like this one. Thanks for posting.  :)
